Eddie Dixon is from the south (Alabama, Mississippi) but spent 20yrs in Chicago playing music, recording and producing and considers that cold amazing city his spiritual home . Played in RnB bands (Memphis Moving Company ) and a legendary midwest reggae band ( GYPSI FARI) . Multiple original projects with other songwriters both playing and producing . (ADAM FITZ, ALGEBRO, SERENGETI). Backed up classic soul man Ralph “ SOUL “ Jackson . In Mississippi he played for a bit with BLUES luminaries T BONE PRUITT and VASTI JACKSON . He currently plays bass for the award winning soul/funk band MADE IN STONE and their sister group EMPRESS FIRE. He has backed up Empire Records southern soul artist SOUL BLAQUE . Recently played backing up NEW ORLEANS BEAU , THEO HUFF, and ROBERT THE DUKE TILLMAN . He played once a long time ago at the blacksmith bar in new orleans because the piano player was gone and they didnt stop him. He played piano on stage with Dick Clark a few times and man did he look strange. He was slapped by sandy duncan and drove a kitchen truck for Yanni that tried to murder him. He has lived all over the south and texas as well as in germany . A voracious consumer and student of a crazy assortment of musical styles and a true acolyte of the musical gods .
